Lesson 1 — Variables & Arithmetic: Set up Python, explore data types, and use variables and arithmetic operators to build your first working programs.

Lesson 2 — Conditional Statements: Use Boolean values, logical operators and if / elif / else to write programs that make their own decisions.

Lesson 3 — Loops & Lists: Repeat tasks efficiently with for and while loops, and store and process collections of data using lists.

Lesson 4 — String Processing & Functions: Search, count and sum data in strings and lists, then wrap your code into reusable functions.
This course aims to introduce the basic concepts and techniques about computer programming to students without prior knowledge in computer programming. The lecture materials are illustrated with examples of Python programming and coding exercises. Python will be used as the major programming language. Although, the knowledge can also be applied to other programming languages. Upon completion of this course, students would develop interest in STEM disciplines and be prepared for secondary school.
